Xuzhi (Ronnie) Du

Postdoctoral Scholar, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign

Xuzhi (Ronnie) Du received his PhD in Automotive Engineering at Tongji University in June 2019. He then continued as a postdoctoral associate in the Shanghai Automotive Wind Tunnel center (SAWTC) at Tongji University. His doctoral thesis focused on the study of fundamental icing physics, deicing/defrosting and impinging jet flow structure evolution and heat transfer. He has also participated in several National Key Programs: Thermal Management of Lithium-ion Batteries, and Snow Accretion Simulation and Prevention of a Maglev Train. He is working on the development of models and carrying out experiments on agrivoltaic systems (co-location of Photovoltaics and Agriculture).
