Discover solar innovation at the Follow the Sun Tour: University of Illinois!

Join the AgriSolar Clearinghouse, Sol Systems, Arevon Energy, and the University of Illinois from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. on July 11, 2024, for a bus tour from the Solar Farm Summit at Loews Hotel. View the University’s large solar development and cutting-edge research on the site by the PHASE and SCAPES teams.

The tour group will meet in the Loews Chicago O’Hare Hotel lobby before to the 7 a.m. departure. The tour will include a 2.5-hour bus ride with speakers and games both to and from the Urbana site. You can join the tour in Urbana if you have your own means of transportation.

All attendees must sign a safety waiver to participate in the tour, and safety equipment will be provided.

Parking can be found at the Swine Research Center, University of Illinois, at 3502 S First St., Champaign, IL 61822.

The gate to enter the solar farm is due west from the Swine Research Center parking lot, across First Street.

BE VERY CAREFUL CROSSING FIRST STREET, as traffic can be heavy at times and traveling faster than expected.
