SCAPES Open House

Hey there!

We’ve got some exciting news for you! You’re invited to join our super cool Agrivoltaics Open House – the first of its kind! Building on the success of our last virtual meeting on Feb. 17, 2022, which brought together awesome folks from the solar and agricultural industries, we’re thrilled to continue the discussion on Aug 9th from 2:00 – 3:00 pm.

At our previous meeting, we had a blast discussing agrivoltaic systems and their impact on everything from local communities to the whole planet! Thanks to your help, we’ve gathered more answers to your questions, and now we’re even better equipped to tackle the challenges together.

But that’s not all! This time, we’re focusing on solar panels, and guess what? Our very own superstar researcher, Nenad Miljkovic, will be there to update us on the incredible work of our solar panel research team. If you’ve ever had burning questions about solar panels, this is the perfect chance to chat with an expert!

Not just that, other awesome members of the SCAPES grant team will also give brief updates on the grant progress. It’s going to be a blast!

Let us tell you a bit about Nenad – he’s an Associate Professor of Mechanical Science and Engineering at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. This guy is a pioneer in sustainable energy, always coming up with mind-blowing tech that makes solar panels even more awesome! His work has earned him worldwide fame, and he’s pushing the boundaries of solar energy for a cleaner and greener future. We can’t wait to hear what he’s got to share!
